The first time I heard about a river cruise down the Mekong River, I knew one day I would have to do it! I’ve enjoyed my past trips to Asia, including Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia and Bali, but this trip looks even more interesting and exotic. I chose Ama Waterways for several reasons; • Their land and tour itinerary includes an overnight on a junk in Halong Bay • The AmaLotus cabins are larger and most have balconies • The ship has a small swimming pool, an attractive idea for a hot climate
